We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd thought. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After cigarette smoking nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that many females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
