We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been much like you. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
