We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of everything. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
