We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd idea. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her hubby and is in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I spoke to them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
