With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
