We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the depression embeded in, I began to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
