All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been much like you. Triggering to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to finish with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I might walk, run, and climb, however it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the third week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of it all. I believe it's time I offered you a total image of our street and the people who reside on it. It will come in useful later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her husband and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Naturally, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
