All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had actually been just like you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to make with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working. I signed up with the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the 3rd week, a despair started to creep in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that most females in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of everything. I think it's time I provided you a total image of our street and the people who survive on it. It will come in useful in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. I never spoke with him, even though what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
