In the 3rd week, a malaise started to creep in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
