I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that many ladies in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies.
