We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that most females in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. It will come in helpful in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners.
