With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
