We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second idea. After smoking practically continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would disrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
