This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continuously when the depression set in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
