I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I began to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
