We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
