From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of women in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies.
