We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving.
