We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been just like you. We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
