November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
