From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of women in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I believe it's time I gave you a complete photo of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in useful in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her other half and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke with them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never talked to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
