We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
