We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I began to select up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that most women at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
