I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would disrupt me now, and state that many ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
