With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of females in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a complete photo of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will come in helpful later on. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
