We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, implemented on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking nearly constantly when the depression embeded in, I began to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her husband and is in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
