We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that many women in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not understand the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a complete image of our street and the people who live on it. It will be available in helpful later. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her other half and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
