We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other ladies. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
