We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. We have a no smoking policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females.
