We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes practically continuously when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that many females at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other ladies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I talked to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
