After smoking almost constantly when the anxiety embeded in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
