All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. We have a no smoking policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
