From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would disrupt me now, and say that most women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies.
