November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
