We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking almost continuously when the depression set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her spouse and remains in the process of moving.
