We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a reservation. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been much like you. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of women at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
