With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
