We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of females in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not understand the half of everything. I think it's time I gave you a total image of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in helpful later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her other half and is in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke to him, despite the fact that what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
