We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been much like you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. I established a problem with my knee. A semi-serious problem. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I might walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-lasting ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The very first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that accumulate done. Then in the third week, a malaise began to sneak in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the depression embeded in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of it all. I think it's time I gave you a total picture of our street and the people who live on it. It will be available in useful later on. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
