With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would interrupt me now, and say that most women at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
