We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. After smoking nearly constantly when the anxiety set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
