We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. After smoking cigarettes practically constantly when the depression set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of everything. I believe it's time I offered you a complete image of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in beneficial later on. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
