We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the anxiety embeded in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of women in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
