November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her spouse and is in the process of moving.
