We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her husband and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Naturally, whenever I talked to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never ever spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
