November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that many females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all).
