We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
