With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
