November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
