I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
