We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been similar to you. We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This suggests that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking practically constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
