From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
