We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I began to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of women at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke to them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
