We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd idea. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
