From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
