From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continuously when the anxiety embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that many females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all).
