All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been just like you. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the 3rd week, a despair began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the depression set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
