We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been just like you. Then in the third week, a despair began to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her hubby and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
