We have a no smoking policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continually when the depression embeded in, I started to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that many ladies in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
