We have a no smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the depression set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of it all. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time.
