We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd thought. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never ever spoke to him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
