We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the depression embeded in, I started to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't understand the half of all of it. I believe it's time I offered you a total image of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will come in beneficial in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her spouse and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. I never ever spoke with him, even though what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
