We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second idea. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies.
