We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been much like you. I signed up with the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The very first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that accumulate done. Then in the 3rd week, a despair began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of all of it. I believe it's time I offered you a total image of our street and the people who survive on it. It will come in beneficial later on. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
